Dear Robbinsdale Area Schools families, students and staff,
Thank you for your patience and understanding this morning due to unexpected technology issues. Unfortunately, as the school day was beginning, many of our students who use Chromebooks experienced connection issues. The issue was related to what’s called a “content filter.” Simply put, the filter was overloaded.
Since then, the Technology team has routed some of the content to another “lane.” Additionally, the Technology Department has made necessary adjustments and rebooted servers in an effort to resolve the issue. Students were also advised to reboot their Chromebooks to re-establish connection. This appears to have resolved the issue.
This is certainly not how we wanted to start the school year. We offer our sincerest apologies to students, families and staff who experienced difficulties connecting. We are working diligently to prevent this from happening in the future.
