Dear Robbinsdale Area Schools families,

As you know, there have been no easy decisions this year. One moment, our plans are moving forward - and the next day (or even next hour) we have new information to process, and our plans must pivot. We will continue to listen to your feedback and welcome it any time as we move forward in our decision making.

Due to a change in county COVID-19 case numbers, beginning Monday, Nov. 16, we plan to shift to a hybrid learning model for Pre-K and elementary students. Students receiving center-based special education services (Pre-K through 12th grade and RTC students) will also shift to hybrid learning on Nov. 16.

To ensure a smooth transition, we are now planning on tiered start dates as follows:

  • Monday, Nov. 16: Pre-K, kindergarten and first grade students, and center-based special education students
  • Monday, Nov. 30: Second and third grade students
  • Monday, Dec. 7: Fourth and fifth grade students

Students will remain in Distance Learning PLUS the week of Nov. 9 and until their hybrid learning start date.

Families will have the option to remain in distance learning, through our 281 Distance Learning School - which begins for all registered students on Monday, Nov. 16. We are doing our best to keep students with their school community.

Please note, as we continue to receive new information from local health experts - along with up-to-date COVID-19 data - our plans could change.

Please take the time needed to read this letter in its entirety as there are new updates that haven't been shared with families previously. You will find information for childcare; meals; student support centers; center-based special education; and 281 Distance Learning School.

The hybrid learning model allows for up to 50 percent capacity in buildings. Due to the number of students enrolled in the 281 Distance Learning School, we have been able to increase student capacity from 25 percent to 50 percent.

Students will follow an AA/BB model where students will be in school, in person, two days per week, and will engage in asynchronous distance learning the other three days. Wednesdays will continue to be asynchronous learning days for all students, with morning and afternoon meetings.

The week of Nov. 2, principals will hold virtual question and answer meetings with families. Your student’s principal will share additional details.

No school next week for Pre-K and elementary students, and students receiving center-based special education services

Elementary staff will use the previously announced four days next week for planning, per the Governor’s executive order. There is no school Monday, Nov. 2 through Friday, Nov. 6 for Pre-K through 5th grade students and students receiving center-based special education services. Nov. 3 was previously scheduled as a non-school day.

Elementary and secondary students who receive center-based special education services, and Robbinsdale Transition Center students

IEP teams will be working with their center-based students and families in anticipation of beginning hybrid learning on Nov. 16. Families will receive additional communication.

Middle and High School Students

As a reminder, middle and high school students (including 5th grade at FAIR School Crystal) will remain in Distance Learning PLUS through the first semester. We continue to plan to transition middle and high school students on Tuesday, Jan. 26 based on the model that aligns with COVID county data.

Classes will continue to be held next week for secondary students, except on Tuesday, Nov. 3. That is a non-school day for all students.

281 Distance Learning School

Families who want to remain in distance learning need to opt-in - we are asking families to make this decision as soon as possible to allow us to plan for staffing. Pre-K families (five-day preschool) who would like to opt-in should complete this form. 281 Distance Learning School will begin for all registered students on Monday, Nov. 16

Based on staffing and student enrollment, students will either have their current teacher or a teacher from their school, in most instances.

Families who register must remain through the first semester to ensure appropriate staffing levels for each learning model. Those who have previously enrolled in the 281 Distance Learning School and wish to opt-out must do so by Friday, Oct. 30 (opt-out form for elementary or secondary).

Families who have not registered for 281 Distance Learning School will transition to hybrid learning.

Transportation routes are currently being modeled. Students will be assigned an A or B day, regardless if they are registered for 281 Distance Learning School. This information will be posted in Infinite Campus this week. Transportation postcards will also be mailed to families the week prior to their tiered start date.

Critical Care/Adventure Club

Families utilizing childcare and/or Adventure Club will continue in the current childcare model through Friday, Nov. 13, and will have access to care during the scheduled planning days.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 16, our school day critical care site will be FAIR School Crystal (3915 Adair Ave N, Crystal). We will follow the Executive Order critical care requirement which says in order to receive free critical care during school day hours, both parents/guardians or those who are a single custody parent/guardian must be a Tier 1 qualified worker (see MDE Tier I worker list).

Adventure Club will continue to offer before and after school fee-based childcare at elementary sites during hybrid learning.

Registration for critical care and/or Adventure Club will begin at 6 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct. 28). To register, please go to and select Hybrid Learning Model Childcare.

Student Support Centers

Student Support Centers offer a hub of information on various supports available for students and families - including tech support, academic support, social-emotional and more. On each school’s website, click on the ‘Student Support Center’ button on the homepage to access this information. Please contact the school main office if your student is in need of transportation to access these supports.

Free Meals

Students will receive free breakfast and lunch on their in-person school days, and get a three-day meal bundle to take home. Five-day meal bundles will also be available for pick up at several locations. Free meals are available through Wednesday, June 30, 2021 per a continuation of the federal USDA summer meals program.

Thank you to all of our parents, students and staff for your correspondence, and for those who participated in our stakeholder and subcommittee meetings. Your feedback and recommendations on our learning models have been very helpful and valued.

We are working diligently to provide the best education possible for all of our students -- no matter what learning model you choose for your family. We appreciate your flexibility and patience, especially this school year. Thank you for your continued partnership during this time.

Qoysaska Qaaliga ah ee Dugsiyada Aagga  Robbinsdale,

Sidaad ogtihiin, ma jirin go'aanno fudud oo la gaadhay sannadkan. Daqiiqad qudha, qorshayaasheena ayaa hore u socda - oo maalinta ku xigta (ama xitaa saacadda xigta) waxaan helnaa macluumaad cusub oo u baahan in wax laga qabto, oo qorshayaashuna ay xuddun u noqdaan. Waan sii wadaynaa dhagaysiga iyo soo dhawaynta ra'yi celintaada waqti kasta intaan horay u wadno go'aan qaadashada.

Isbedelka ku yimid tirada kiisaska COVID-19 ee degmada awgeed, laga bilaabo Isniinta, Nofeembar 16, waxaan qorshaynaynaa inaan u beddelo qaab waxbarasho oo isku dhafan oo loogu talagalay ardayda pre-K iyo ardays dugsiyada hoose. Ardayda qaata adeegyada waxbarashada gaarka ah ee ku salaysan xarunta (Barbaarinta ilaa fasalka 12aad iyo ardayda RTC) waxay sidoo kale u wareegi doonaan barashada isku dhafka ah bisha Nofeembar 16.

Si loo hubiyo kala-guur habsami leh, waxaan hadda qorshaynaynaa bilowga mustawayowga taariikhaha sida soo socota:

  • Isniin, Nofembar 16: Barbaarinta, Xanaanada, iyo ardayda fasalka koowaad, iyo ardayda waxbarashada gaarka ah ee ku salaysan xarunta
  • Isniin, Nofembar 30: Ardayda fasalka labaad iyo saddexaad
  • Monday, Dec. 7: Ardayda fasalka afraad iyo shanaad

Ardaydu waxay ku sii negaan doonaan Waxbarasha Fogaanta Plus toddobaadka bilaabmaya Nofembar 9-keeda illaa taariikhda bilowga waxbarashadooda isku-dhafka.

Qoysasku waxay ikhtiyaar u leeyihiin inay ku sii sugnaadaan waxbarashada fogaanta, iyada oo loo marayo Dugsigeenna 281 ee  Waxbarashada Fogaanta - kaas oo u bilaabmaya dhammaan ardayda diiwaangashan Isniinta, Nofembar 16. Waxaan ku dadaalnaa sida ugu fiican inaan ardayda uga ilaalino bulshada iskuulkooda.

Fadlan ogow intaan sii wadno helitaanka macluumaadka cusub ee khubarada caafimaadka ee deegaanka - oo ay weheliso xogta u dambaysa ee COVID-19 - qorshayaasheena way isbadali karaan.

Fadlan qaado waqtiga loo baahan yahay si aad u akhrido warqaddan dhammaanteed maadaama ay jiraan xogo cusub oo aan horay loola wadaagin qoysaska. Waxaad ka heli doontaa macluumaad ku saabsan daryeelka carruurta; cuntada; xarumaha taakulaynta ardayda; waxbarashada gaarka ee xarunta ku salaysan; iyo Dugsiga Barashada Fogaanta 281.

Habka waxbarasho ee isku dhafan ayaa u oggolaanaya ilaa boqolkiiba 50 awoodda dhismayaasha. Tirada ardayda ka diiwaan gashan Dugsiga Waxbarashada Fogaanta 281 awgeed, waxaan awoodnay inaan kordhinno awoodda ardayda oo ahayd 25 boqolkiiba ilaa 50 boqolkiiba.

Ardaydu waxay raaci doonaan qaabka AA/BB halkaasoo ardaydu ku jiri doonaan iskuulka, shaqsi ahaan, laba maalmood toddobaadkii, waxayna ka qaybqaadan doonaan barashada masaafada aan wakhtiyaysnayn ‘asynchronous’ saddexda maalmood ee kale. Arbacooynka waxay u sii ahaan doontaa maalmo waxbarashada aan wakhtiyaysnayn oo ardayda oo dhan, oo leh kulammada subax iyo galabnimo.

Toddobaadka Nofembar 2, maamulayaasha iskuulladu waxay ugu qaban doonaan qoysaska kulanno su’aalo iyo jawaabo khadka tooska ah. Maamulaha ardaygaaga ayaa idinla wadaagi doona faahfaahin dheeraad ah.

Uma jiro iskuul toddobaadka soo socda Xanaanada iyo ardayda dugsiga hoose, iyo ardayda qaata adeegyada waxbarashada gaarka ah ee ku salaysan xarunta
Shaqaalaha dugsiyada hoose waxay u isticmaali doonaan afarta maalmood ee hore loo shaaciyey toddobaadka soo socda qorshaynta, sida ku qeexan Amarka Fulinta ee Guddoomiyaha Gobolka. Uma jiro iskuul Isniinta, Nofembar 2 illaa Jimcaha, Nofembar 6 ardayda Xannaanada ilaa fasalka 5aad iyo ardayda qaadatada adeegyada waxbarashada gaarka ah ee ku salaysan xarunta. Nofembar 3 ayaa horey loogu asteeyay inay ahaato maalin dugsi aanu jirin.

Ardayda dugsiga hoose, dhexe, iyo sare ee hela adeegyada waxbarashada gaarka ah ee ku saleysan xarunta, iyo ardayda Xarunta Kala-guurka Robbinsdale
Kooxaha IEP waxay la shaqeyn doonaan ardaydooda iyo qoysaskooda ku salaysan xarunta iyagoo sugaya bilawga waxbarashada isku dhafka bisha Nofembar 16. Qoysasku waxay heli doonaan la xiriiritaan dheeri ah.

Ardayda Dugsiga Dhexe iyo Sare
Xusuusin ahaan, ardayda dugsiga dhexe iyo sare (oo ay ku jiraan fasalka 5aad ee Dugsiga FAIR Crystal) waxay ku sii nagaan doonaan Waxbarada Fogaanta PLUS ilaa iyo simistarka koowaad. Waxaan sii wadaynaa qorshaynta u wareejinta ardayda dugsiga dhexe iyo sare maalinta Talaadada, Janaayo 26 iyadoo lagu salaynayo qaabka la jaan qaadaya xogta degmada ee COVID.

Fasallada way u sii socon doonaan in loo qabto toddobaadka soo socda ardayda dugsiga sare, marka laga reebo Talaadada 3 Nofeembar. Tani waa maalin aan dugsi u jirin dhammaan ardayda.

Dugsiga Waxbarashada Fogaanta 281
Qoysaska doonaya inay ku sii negaadaan waxbarashada fogaanta waxay u baahan yihiin inay isku qoraan ‘opt-in’ - waxaan ka codsaneynaa qoysaska inay go'aankan gaaraan sida ugu dhakhsaha badan ee suurtogalka ah si ay noogu oggolaadaan inaan qorshayno u shaqaalaynta. Qoysaska Xannaanada (dugsiga barbaarinta shanta maalmood) ee jecel inay doortaan waa inay buuxiyaan foomkan. Dugsiga Waxbarashada Fogaanta 281 wuxuu u bilaaban doonaa dhammaan ardayda diiwaangashan Isniinta, Nofembar 16.

Iyada oo ku salaysan shaqaalaynta iyo diiwaangelinta ardayda, ardaydu waxay yeelan doonaan ama macallinkooda hadda ama macallin ka socda dugsigooda, xaaladaha badankood.

Qoysaska isdiiwaangaliya waa inay joogaan inta lagu jiro simistarka koowaad si loo hubiyo heerarka shaqo ee ku habboon qaab waxbarasho kasta. Kuwa horay uga diiwaangashan Dugsiga Waxbarashada Fogaanta 281 ee raba inay ka noqdaan waa inay sidaas sameeyaan ugu dambayn Jimcaha Oktoobar 30 (Foomka ka bixitaanka Dugsiga Hoose ama Sare).

Qoysaska aan isdiiwaangalinin iskuulada Waxbarashada Fogaanta 281 waxay u wareegi doonaan waxbarasho isku dhafan.

Wadooyinka gaadiidka ayaa hadda la qaabeeyay. Ardayda waxaa loo qoondayn doonaa maalin A ama B, iyadoon loo eegin inay ka diiwaangashan yihiin Digsiga Waxbaradad Fogaanta 281. Macluumaadkan waxaa lagu daabici doonaa Infinite Campus-ka toddobaadkan. Kaararka boostada ayaa sidoo kale loo diri doonaa qoysaska toddobaadka ka horeeya taariikh bilowga taxan.

Daryeelka Muhimka ah/Naadiga Adfanjarka
Qoysaska isticmaala daryeelka caruurta iyo/ama naadiga Adfanjarka waxay sii wadi doonaan qaabkaka ee xanaanada caruurta ilaa Jimcaha, Nofeembar 13, oo waxay heli doonaan daryeel inta lagu jiro maalmaha qorshaynta.

Laga bilaabo Isniinta, Nofembar 16, goobta daryeelka dugsiga ee muhiimka ah waxay noqon doontaa Dugsiga FAIR Crystal (3915 Adair Ave N, Crystal). Waxaan raaci doonaa Shuruudaha Daryeelka Khatarta ah ee Amarka Fulinta oo sheegaya in si loo helo daryeel xasaasi ah oo bilaash ah inta lagu jiro saacadaha iskuulka, Labada waalid/wakiilo ama kuwa hal waalid/mas’uul koriye waa inay noqdaan shaqaale u qalma Mustawaha 1aad (eeg liiska shaqaalaha Mustawaha 1 ee WWM).

Naadiga Adfanjarku wuxuu sii wadi doonaa inay bixiyaan xannaanada ilmaha oo ku salaysan kharsh ka hor iyo ka dib dugsiga ee goobaha dugsiyada hoose inta lagu gudajiro waxbarashada isku dhafan.

Isqorista Daryeelka Xasaasiga iyo/ama Naadiga Adfanjarku wuxuu bilaabmi doonaa 6 AM berri (Arbaco Oct 28). Si aad isu diiwaangeliso, fadlan booqo oo dooro Habka Waxbarashada Isku-dhafan ee Daryeelka Ilmaha.

Xarumaha Taakulaynta Ardayda
Xarumaha Taakulaynta Ardayda waxay bixiyaan xarun macluumaad oo ku saabsan noocyada kala duwan ee taageerada ay heli karaan ardayda iyo qoysaska - oo ay ku jiraan taageero tiknolajiyassa, taageero tacliimeed, shucuurta bulshonimo iyo qaar kale oo badan. Websaydhka dugsi kasta, guji badhanka "Xarunta Taageerada Ardayda" ee ku taal bog-guriga si aad uga hesho macluumaadkan. Fadlan la xiriir xafiiska weyn ee dugsiga haddii ardaygaagu u baahan yahay gaadiid si uu u helo taageeradan.

Cunno Bilaash ah
Ardaydu waxay heli doonaan quraac iyo qado bilaash ah maalmaha iskuulkooda ee shaqsi ahaanta, waxayna heli doonaan xirmo cunto ah oo saddex maalmood ah oo ay guryahooda ugu qaataan. Xirmooyinka cuntada ee shanta maalmood ah ayaa sidoo kale laga heli doonaa dhowr goobood. Cunto bilaash ah ayaa la heli karaa ilaa Arbacada, Juun 30, 2021, sii wadida Barnaamijka Cuntada Xagaaga ee USDA.

Waad ku mahadsan tihiin dhammaan waalidiinteenna, ardaydayada iyo shaqaalahayaga waraaqihiinna iyo intii ka qayb qaadatay Kulamadii Daneeyayaasha iyo Guddi-hoosaadyadii. Ra'yi-celintiinna iyo talooyinkiinna ku saabsan hababka waxbarashadeenna waxay ahaayeen kuwo waxtar leh oo la qadariyo.

Waxaan si taxaddar leh uga shaqaynaynaa sidii aan u siin lahayn waxbarashada ugu wanaagsan ee suurtagal u ah dhammaan ardaydeena -- iyadoon loo eegin nooca waxbarasho ee aad u xulato qoyskaaga. Waan ku xushmaynaynaa dabacsanaantaada iyo sabirkaaga, gaar ahaan sannad dugsiyeedkan. Waad ku mahadsantahay iskaashigaaga joogtada ah inta lagu jir xilligan.
